Has it felt like this week has been dragging on and on for anyone else or is it just me? I’m so thankful it’s Friday. I’d definitely going to be enjoying my down time this weekend.

Grasshopper Beer June 12 2014

I may or may not have enjoyed a Grasshopper after work a few days ago. It was one of those days and I needed a little something. I recently read that a grasshopper is a cocktail in the US. I never knew that.

Blue Comumbine June 13 2014

Aren’t these blue columbine gorgeous? They’re blooming right now in our backyard. It always amazes me how beautiful nature can be.

World Cup Brazil Croatia June 12 2014

Thursday afternoon was the first game of the World Cup. It’s pretty exciting to see some of the best soccer players in the world play. Having played the last couple years, I can fully appreciate how much training and skill each player has. I’m looking forward to watching lots of soccer while the tournament is running. Saturday I’m going to Calgary Wordcamp. For those who aren’t familiar with it, it’s basically people getting together to hear talks and panels about WordPress. There are two tracks, content creators and code creators, so there’s something for everyone. This weekend will be my first time going so I’m pretty excited about it.

The White Princess June 12 2014

I started reading The White Princess this week. I’m about 100 pages in and so far it’s pretty good. I love any sort of historical fiction that has to do with the Tudors (which is most of what Philippa Gregory writes). There’s one more book in this series (The Cousins’ War), but it won’t be released until September.

What’s your favourite flower? Have you ever gone to a Wordcamp?
