This week was all about yoga. I managed to make it out to three classes..

Monday’s class was beginner Ashtanga. It was my first beginner class, so there was a focus on getting great alignment in the postures before moving into the next one. I have a feeling it might turn into a regular class for me.

Wednesday I went to a level 1 Iyengar yoga class. This class always makes use of lots of props (blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters), which is different from the Ashtanga classes. It’s kind of nice to switch things up.

Saturday afternoon I went to my usual community class. It’s an all levels Ashtanga class. The class is only $5 with all the money going to charity. Since the teachers donate their time and rotate through every couple of months, it’s a great way to get a feeling for each teacher’s style.
