Last week I did something horrible to my back. I have no idea what I did exactly, but it wasn’t good. I’ve never had trouble with my back before, so having it hurt so much for so long was pretty shocking considering I can’t pinpoint what I did.
Up until a couple days ago I’ve been medicated (muscle relaxants are truly wonderful things). Everything from walking to rolling over in bed hurt. I now know what it’s going to feel like to get old. You have no idea how many times you use your back every day until it hurts. Applying heat to it has also been a lifesaver. It helped relieve some of the pain and felt so good.
Luckily it’s feeling better now. It’s still not 100%, but it’s so much better than it was. I’m so thankful. The first day or two when it was the worst was pretty bad.
I haven’t done yoga in almost two weeks. Although I’m really missing it, I also don’t want to do anything that could lead my back to getting hurt again. I think I’m going to hold off on the yoga until next week, and even then I’ll take things slowly.
