Before I started writing this post I read my post from exactly a year ago. (It’s here if you want to check it out too.) I wrote these words, having no idea how tough 2013 would be:

“I want to surprise myself with my strength, my ability to deal with whatever comes my way.”

There was more hard family stuff, more time spent in hospitals with family members than is right for anyone, and not knowing what was going to happen next in the last year. But, you know what? I dealt with it. I didn’t lose it. There were lots of conversations in which I cried and friends listened to what was going on.

Chemistry 20 January 1 2014

In fact, I didn’t just deal with it, I made some positive changes in my life too. I started volunteering. I decided to pursue going back to school and I started my chemistry class. I got a second and third job. I’m going to be needing some big bucks to be able to afford school.

Yoga January 1 2014

I’ve been going to yoga more regularly than I ever have before.

Garden January 1 2014

I grew an amazing garden this year and ate lots of fresh veggies because of it.

I’m still trying to figure out a few goals that I want to accomplish in 2014. Once I know what they are, I’ll be sure to share them with you.

What was on thing you were proud of doing in 2013?

I’m proud of keeping up with my daily illustrations, and of building my teaching studio to a number bigger than I thought possible! I just stumbled on your blog and had to comment to say that I LOVE your mountain picture above. I used to live in Denver and miss seeing my beloved Rocky Mountains so much, so I’m always drawn to beautiful mountain pictures. Happy 2014!
