Saturday I had lunch with a friend and her kids. We hadn’t seen each other in a month cause she lives in a different city now, so it was really great to spend some time with her. Since she was feeding me lunch, I offered to bring something for dessert. I decided to head over to Cob’s, and after narrowing down my choices (everything in there always looks so good), I went with an Apple-Licious.
Sunday morning I ended up at the grocery store, where I got myself an advent calendar. I can’t even remember the last time I had one, so I decided to get it. When I got home I discovered that the chocolates are pretty tiny – think the size of a M and M. On the bright side, I’ll be having chocolate every day until the 24th.
Sunday afternoon I spent some time volunteering. The group I’m working with is putting together backpacks filled with all kinds of things (transit tickets, hygiene items, gift cards, gloves) for teens who otherwise wouldn’t be getting anything for Christmas. Yesterday we were prepping everything so that the backpacks can get stuffed tonight. We’ve been working on this project since September, so it’s great to see things finally coming together.
Last night I made my Christmas list (cause adults still do that, right?). It was pretty simple this year – passes for yoga classes, money, and vanilla bean noel stuff from B&BW. It looks pretty likely I’ll get the yoga classes, so I’m pretty excited about that.
What’s on your Christmas list this year?
