Since my soccer game last weekend my foot hasn’t been feeling great, so I’ve been trying to take it easy when it comes to workouts.

Monday morning I did a 25 minute yoga practice on my own before going to work. I find getting a workout done first thing in the morning leaves me with more energy throughout the day.

Wednesday evening I tried out a new studio. They have classes twice a week that are cheaper because they have student teachers leading the class. It was a great class, and I thought the teacher did a great job – I wouldn’t have known otherwise that she hadn’t been teaching for years. I’ll definitely be back to this class.

I was planning on going to my usual Saturday afternoon class, but I ended up deciding against it. We got a big dump of snow this weekend, and I wasn’t interested in dealing with scraping off the car and the slippery roads. It’s the first Saturday class I’ve missed since the end of August!

The plan for the coming week is more yoga as I try to get my foot feeling better. Even though it’s frustrating to not be able to do my usual workouts, I’m finding that I’m leaving class feeling really relaxed, so it’s nice to have the opportunity to de-stress during yoga.
