Friday night was pretty laid back. I knew I was going to have a busy Saturday, so after stopping at the grocery store on the way home from work, I spent the night in. It had been a tough week with my mom in the hospital, so I didn’t feel like doing anything. I played around with the new camera, taking some photos of the sunset.
Saturday afternoon I took my dad to his very first yoga class. He ended up liking it and even mentioned he would go to another restorative class. I’m glad his first time was such a positive experience.
Since friends from out of town were back in the city for the weekend, I was invited to their parent’s place for dinner to spend some time with them. It was great to see my friends and their kids (it’s only been 2 months since I last saw the kids, but they’ve grown so much). For dinner we had turkey and all the side dishes. Everything was delicious, but I think my favourite was a rice and bean dish. Since I wasn’t able to have a Thanksgiving dinner with my family, it was a pretty special treat to have a turkey dinner with such good friends.
Sunday I did some errands and spend the rest of the day doing chemistry homework and blogging. Before I started my chem class I had no idea that there would be so much math. It’s not particularly tough math, but sometimes figuring out the formula to use, or where to put in the numbers, or even figuring out the units can take some time.
As I’m writing this Sunday night, I’m looking forward to watching The Good Wife. I’m still not entirely convinced that Alisha will be leaving Lockhart and Gardner, but I guess we’ll see what happens in this episode.
Did you do anything exciting this weekend? If you watched The Good Wife, what did you think?
