Tuesday night was a great day for soccer. It was sunny but not too hot. We had a great turnout too – we played 6 on 6 with no goalies.
I’ve been to Mucho Burrito quite a few times before, but I’d never actually had a burrito there. I thought I’d try one. Let me start off my saying that it was a LOT of food, but oh so delicious!
Friends of mine had a baby last week, and I was able to meet her for the first time on Friday. She’s absolutely amazing, and she let me hold her for quite awhile while she was sleeping. I had made this baby quilt for her awhile ago, and it was pretty fun to finally be able to give it to her.
I had to get a police check and a child intervention check done for some volunteering that I’ll be doing starting in September. After I got them done I thought I’d go for lunch. One of the offices was in a neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and pubs. I hadn’t been to Julio’s Barrio in a really long time, so I thought I’d try it out again. We started with chips, and then I got a chicken quesadilla which was really good.
Sunday afternoon I went with my dad to one of his favourite burger places, South Street Burger Co. He really likes the fries there. I decided on the Nacho burger that had cheese, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole on it. It’s hard to resist anything with guacamole.
After two weeks I finally finished reading Under the Dome. While I wasn’t totally impressed with the ending, it was still a fun read. Now that I know what happens, it’ll be interesting to see how the TV show lines up with the book. There’s already quite a few differences between the two.
A friend of mine suggested The Newsroom to me awhile ago. She asked me a few days ago if I had tried it, and I said no. Luckily enough I found out I had access to season 1 and what’s aired so far of season 2, so I decided to try it. It’s a good thing it was a long weekend cause I couldn’t stop watching it. As of right now I only have two more episodes to go until I’m caught up. It’s so good! I knew I liked it when I finished the first episode, and by the time I finished the fourth I was hooked. You have to give it a try if you haven’t yet.
What’s the last TV series you discovered and really liked?
