I really didn’t do a whole lot this weekend. I thought I’d take advantage of my lack of plans and just take it easy. Every once in awhile I think you need a weekend like that.

Under the Dome July 28 2013

I’ve officially read over half of Under the Dome. I’m trying to keep ahead of the TV show, and it looks like I’ve already read about the part that’s going to be on tonight’s episode. I’m really looking forward to watching it tonight.

Five Guys July 28 2013 (1)

My dad’s birthday was last week. For his birthday gift I gave him some money designated for a few of his favourite restaurants. He loves the French fries at Five Guys, so we went there on Sunday for lunch.

He just had fries, while I got the little cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mustard. So tasty!

Cliff Bars July 28 2013

I’ve never had a Cliff Bar. I think I might be the last person on earth to try them. When I saw them at the grocery store over the weekend I thought I’d try a couple. I decided on the crunchy peanut butter and white chocolate macadamia nut flavours. I haven’t tried either of them yet, but I’ll definitely let you know what I think.

What’s the last movie or TV show you watched that was based on a book?

The last movie that I watched that was based on a book… Gosh that’s a much harder question than I thought! :) Castle, The Pelican Brief, Pretty Little Liars… I feel like there was probably something more recent but I just can’t put my finger on what it was now. I’ve never read a Steven King book before but I saw previews for that show and it looked pretty good! Would you say that it follows pretty close with the book?

Although I’m not finished the book yet, I’d say there’s quite a few things different. It would actually be really interested to talk to the people involved in making the show and find out why they changed certain things.
