Remember back in October when I went to see Pride and prejudice at Theatre Calgary? Well it won an award for best play in Calgary for the 2012-2013 season! I really had a lot of fun and thought the performance was great, so I was pretty excited when I heard they had won. Check out this article in the Calgary Herald for all the details.
There’s an awesome Vietnamese restaurant not too far from me. They have the best beef and veggie stir fry on egg noodles. I don’t know what it is that they do, but it’s better than the ones I’ve had at other restaurants. Apparently I was pretty hungry, cause this was all that was left when I went there this week. I was stuffed, but it tasted so good!
At soccer on Tuesday night I almost wiped out – and for once it wasn’t because of my klutziness. It was raining a bit when we first started the game, but stopped a few minutes in. The field we were playing on has two utility boxes on it. They’re sunk into the ground with plastic covers that are level with the grass. Usually I’m able to remember they’re there and be careful when I’m close to them. But this week we were playing on a smaller field cause there were only 4 of us on each team. I lost track of where I was, and I took a step to change direction, and when my cleat hit the wet plastic, my foot went sliding and I almost ended up on the ground. Luckily I managed to keep my balance, but my leg is definitely sore from my foot slipping. I don’t think I’ll forget where the utility covers are now!
I ended up at Dairy Queen on Thursday afternoon. I got myself a Skor Blizzard. Those things are dangerously tasty. It’s by far my favourite treat from DQ.
