As I mentioned on Friday, I knew this was going to be a tough weekend. Thankfully it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. It’s amazing how much my mind makes things worse leading up to things actually happening. Thanks a lot brain. There were still tears, but definitely not as many as I thought. And there were some awesome hugs involved, which always make me feel better. Things turned out 100% better than I was expecting.

Under the Dome July 22 2013

Saturday I worked out in the morning, did some housework, and then spent most of the day reading. I’ve been watching the Under the Dome miniseries for the last couple weeks, and I’ve really enjoyed it, so I wanted to read the book. Last weekend I picked up Under the Dome at a thrift store ($5 compared to the $25 at the bookstore). I started it on Friday and so far it’s pretty good. I really enjoy big, epic books, so this one is perfect for me, as it’s a little over a thousand pages.

Radishes July 19 2013

A couple of the radishes were starting to go to seed (I think it might have been starting to get too hot for them), so I pulled some of them. The radishes were pretty tiny, but they were still tasty. It’s the first thing from the garden that I’ve eaten – it’s about time too, it’s already halfway through July.

Sunday I went for sushi at Kinjo’s with a friend and then went to see The Conjuring. I have a thing for horror movies. Even if they’re horrible I like them (maybe even better than “good” ones). Sunday night I met up with a friend at Starbucks to talk. It was great to spend some time with her.

What’s the last horror movie you watched?

Your mind TOTALLY plays tricks on you! But you know what? I think it’s a good thing that you thought the weekend was going to be far more rough than it was, it just keeps you prepared for the WORST! :)
