The wonderful Liv over at Liv Lives Life posted this survey a couple weeks ago and I’ve had it bookmarked since cause I wanted to do it too. So here it is. Finally!

1. What did you have for breakfast?

WIAW Breakfast July 16 2013

My usual – cereal, an apple, and some vanilla yogurt.

2. How much water do you drink a day?

Water Bottle July 16 2013

I really try to make an effort to get enough water. I usually have  a water bottle (while at work) or a glass of water (while at home) with me 24/7. I have to pee a lot, but I know I’m doing good things for myself by getting enough water.

3. What is your current favourite workout?

Bowmont July 16 2013 (32)

Right now it’s probably going for walks in Bowmont. It’s seriously beautiful out there right now with all kinds of native wildflowers blooming.

4. How many calories do you eat a day?

Usually around 1700- 1850.

5. What are your favourite healthy snacks?

My go to snacks are veggies and hummus, almonds, or yogurt.

6. What do you usually eat for lunch?

Lunch July 16 2013

I don’t have a usual for lunch. Sometimes it’s leftovers from the day before, other times it’s some sort of protein and veggies in a pita.

7. What is your favourite body part to strength train?

Probably my arms, cause I think I see a difference in them the quicker than any other body part.

8. What is your least favourite body part to strength train?

Probably legs. I stink at lunges – I don’t know what it is, but I never feel like I’m doing them *right* and I’m about to fall over. I just don’t get them.

9. What are your “bad” food cravings?

I have a huge sweet tooth. HUGE. I’m all about anything sweet, from cakes to candy.

10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?

Vitamins July 16 2013

I sure do. At my last doctor appointment I found out I have low vitamin B, vitamin D, and iron levels, so I’m taking supplements for those, as well as a multivitamin.

11. How often do you eat out?

Probably 2 or 3 times a week. I really should work on bringing that number down, but sometimes it’s hard to resist dinner with friends or the boyfriend.

12. Do you eat fast food?

Yep, once in awhile. Mostly when I’m crunched for time or craving pizza. Is pizza considered fast food?

13. Who is your biggest supporter?

Probably the friend that I go for walks with all the time. She’s always so willing to listen and give me good advice when I need it.

14. Do you have a gym membership?

Nope. The last gym I went to regularly was the YWCA when I was in university. It was relatively small, and most mornings I only had to share it with one or two other people. It was pretty awesome.

15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?

I usually try to aim for 8, otherwise I’m grumpy and not much fun to be around. Lately though it’s been tough to get that much because I’m not sleeping well (hello stress) and I’ve been having bad dreams lately. Not fun.

16. Do you have a “cheat day”?

I like to indulge a little every day. I find if I allow myself a handful of Skittles or a cookie every day I’m less likely to go crazy at the end of a week of “perfect” eating and eat half a bag of cookies.

17. Do you drink alcohol?

I sure do, though usually only a couple times a month. I might have a beer if I’m barbequing a burger or a glass of wine if I’m having dinner with friends. And of course sometimes you just need a cocktail on a Friday night after a long work week.

18. Do you have a workout buddy?

Sort of. I have the above mentioned friend that I go for walks with, though she’s moving moving next month. Once she’s gone it’ll be solo workouts for me.

19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?

The guilt. Before I started taking care of myself there were massive amounts of guilt over the “bad” things I was eating – including the amount. Now I try to eat mostly healthy things, and allow myself a little treat everyday. I think it’s the way I spend the majority of my calories that counts, not every single one.

20. What is the last healthy thing you did?

I ate a nectarine for the first time in years. I really don’t like peaches, and for some reason nectarines are just like peaches in my mind. I was feeling brave today at lunch time, and I tried one. It was honestly better than I remembered it to be, though I still like crunchier fruits and veggies more. I have a thing about the texture of my food.

Haha your answer to number 2 rings true with me too. I feel like I’m constantly running to the bathroom, but I suppose it’s better that way than being dehydrated. ;-)
I often wonder if I should consult my doctor about which vitamins to take. Good for you for doing that!
Oh I hope your bad dreams go away soon. That is no fun.
I love your answer to number 19. :-)
