I make shortbread cookies every year for Christmas. I could make them whenever, but I think they taste better at Christmas.
The dough is pretty basic, and was easy to make. These cookies have to be some of the easiest to make, even if you’re not a baker.
Once the dough is mixed together, you put it into a parchment paper lined pan. I used the bottom of a measuring up to flatten the top. Before you put it into the oven you use a sharp knife to cut it into squares.
Once it’s been baked and cooled, re-cut the pieces again, and they’re ready to eat! They keep well in the freezer.
This is a very similar recipe to my go to one for shortbread. I got the recipe from Martha Stewart’s Cookies.
