I had an awesome time Saturday night despite the cold, snowy weather we had.

The boyfriend and I decided to go for dinner before the show started at 8. By the time we got downtown and found a parking spot (it was an amazing spot BTW, right across the street from the theatre), we weren’t sure where we wanted to eat, but decided to take a walk and see what we came across.

We ended up deciding on the Gypsy Bistro Wine Bar. It reminded me of a cute little restaurant in Paris. While the food was definitely pretty tasty, the service was awesome.

By the time we finished dinner we walked over to the theatre. While we were waiting for the show to start we read the program. There were some guidelines for courtship in England the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. Apparently as an unmarried woman I shouldn’t be alone in a room with the boyfriend and I should curtsy and he should bow when we leave each other.

The show was pretty awesome. It was a lot funnier than I thought it was going to be. My favourite part of course was when Darcy and Elizabeth kissed at the end. The acting was perfect, and the characters came across just as I imagined them in the book.

All in all it was a pretty fun night. If you’re in the Calgary area and thinking of going to see Pride and Prejudice, you should definitely go. It was a great production.
