I had a free morning earlier this week so I decided to go to the thrift store and the used book store to see if I could find some books. Cause you can never have too many good books to read, right?
I found Wuthering Heights at the thrift store. It doesn’t look like it’s even been read. I have yet to read anything by the Bronte sisters, so I’m definitely looking forward to it.
I found 6 of the 8 Anne of Green Gables books at the thrift store awhile ago. Since then I’ve been on the hunt for the fourth and seventh books. I found the seventh one at the used bookstore. I’ve read the first three, so now I’m really anxious to find the fourth one. I might end up just buying it new so I can keep reading about Anne without having to wait.
I borrowed these two from my mom. The Paris Wife looks pretty interesting. I saw The King’s Speech in the theatres when it was new. I was drawn in by the history, and I’m hoping the book is just as good as the movie.
Am I the only one who finds it tough to resist all the glossy fashion magazines right now? They’re all extra big cause the September issues are out. While there’s no way I could ever afford anything in them, it’s still fun to look and see what I like. So technically it’s not a book, I’ll still be reading it.
What’s the last book you’ve bought?
