Even though I didn’t actually play any sports.

I started off my weekend Friday afternoon watching some Euro 2012 action. Even though I’ve only been playing soccer since April, I’m amazed at how talented these players are. They’re truly world class. It’s so much fun to watch.

After watching some soccer I finished making these peanut butter cookies. I actually started them Thursday night, but they needed to go into the fridge for at least two hours, but I ended up leaving them there overnight cause I didn’t have time to finish them on Thursday. They turned out pretty good. I’ll be posting about them tomorrow,

Friday night I ended up going bowling with a friend. We were trying to figure out what to do, there weren’t really any movies playing that we were interested in, so we finally settled on bowling,

Lucky for us, it was black light/glow in the dark night where we went. I was wearing a white tank under a purple t-shirt, and they both glowed. My friends jeans were glowing where they were faded. Somehow glow in the dark doesn’t get old, even if you’re almost 30.

After two games we headed over to Denny’s for dessert and to talk. I hadn’t seen my friend for awhile, so we had lots to discuss. I had a slice of cheesecake with strawberries on it. So delicious. I totally forgot to take a photo of it though.

Saturday afternoon I watched some more Euro 2012 soccer and did some laundry. Funny how by the. end of the week there’s so much laundry to do. It seems like it’s never-ending sometimes. Watching soccer while doing it definitely made it easier to do though.

Saturday night I went to a pub with a friend to watch the Kings and the Devils play. It was a totally last minute thing, so I was pretty happy that she could make it and we could spend some time together. New Jersey ended up winning and forcing game 6, which will be happening tonight.

Sunday afternoon I ended up going for a walk with some friends. The plan was to go to a park by the river, but we didn’t get very far before we had to turn back. We’ve had a couple weeks of rainy weather, and combined with the runoff of the snow in the mountains, that means the rivers are really high and flooding. Notice the trees that are half submerged on the right?

That’s supposed to be a path, but it was totally underwater. The dogs seemed prepared to trek right through though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the water this high before. Although we ended up having to walk through a residential area instead of the park it was still a fun walk with lots of talking. It ended up being a little over 4km in just under an hour. Not too shabby.

My Sunday night ended with Mad Men’s last episode of the season. It seems like it took forever waiting for the season to start, and now it’s over and gone so soon. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with my Sunday nights now.
