I decided to make oatmeal raisin cookies the other day. They sounded delicious in the cookbook, so I had to make them. I got the recipe from this cookbook. It’s one of my favorites.
I mixed them up pretty quick. It was a fairly simple recipe to follow.
I’ll admit, it was really hard trying to NOT eat them before they were baked. They smelled so amazingly good.
Luckily they smelled even better after though. I don’t know what it is, but somehow just about everyone in the house came through the kitchen just as the first batch was coming out of the oven. I think they all have some kind of fresh baked cookie radar or something.
They turned out perfectly chewy, yet still baked through. They’re one of the best oatmeal cookies I’ve ever made. I’ll definitely be using this recipe again.
What’s the last thing you baked?
