I’m so late in posting about this, but I wanted to make sure I did cause I was looking forward to this concert for months. On May 16th I got to see one of my favourite bands ever – Bush! I’ve loved them since grade 7. That’s 16 years! I remember when I was in junior high everyone else liked Nsync or the Backstreet Boys, and I was all about Bush.
Yeah, that’s me circa 1997 in my Bush shirt, I wore that thing til there were large holes in it. I was a teenager, what can I say?
Unfortunately Bush was opening for Nickelback (who may or may not be known as the most hated band in music. If you don’t believe me, google it!) I don’t particularly enjoy Nickelback, so I stayed for Bush and left before Nickelback got on stage.
Let me say that Bush put on an amazing show! They played a great mix of older and newer songs, as well as an awesome cover of Come Together by the Beatles. During Come Together Gavin Rossdale walked through the audience – so so cool!
I think part of the reason why they’re so much fun to see live is because it looks like they’re having a great time up on stage. Seriously, they looked like they were having the time of their lives.
If you have the chance to see Bush I’d totally recommend it. They’re amazing live! The newspaper even gave Bush a better review than Nickelback the next day. Check out their upcoming tour dates here.
I thought I’d leave you with my favourite song from the concert – Come Together. (Tell me I’m not the only one who thinks his dancing is cute.)
