Saturday night I went to the Flames/Oilers game. It was the first battle of Alberta that I’ve ever been to.

Friends of my brother’s were going to the same game, so we decided to go to the Saddledome early so we could have dinner together. I had chicken fingers and a beer.

We had pretty decent seats (well, decent ones that didn’t cost an arm and a leg). Flames tickets are pricey.

I knew it was going to be a good game cause we were playing Edmonton. Unfortunately, because Edmonton is so close, that means there’s a lot of Oilers fans in Calgary. I’m pretty sure most of them were sitting in our section. I’m not even joking. These were the ones sitting in front of us. There was a guy in an Oilers jersey next to me, an Oilers fan on the other side of my brother, and there were a bunch of them sitting right behind us too. We were surrounded.

The Flames and the Oilers warming up before the game started.

Arguably one of the best goalies in the NHL, Kiprusoff. The Kipper had an awesome night with a shut out. Take that Edmonton!

This is our post game “we beat Edmonton” faces.
