Hi there! I’m Fiona. I blog about my journey towards a healthier lifestyle. I’ve been overweight for a long time, and I decided to change it. For a little background info, I’m a thirty-something who’s recently decided to go back to school.
I’ve been figuring out what kind of workouts I like – everything from soccer to yoga to hiking. I was on a soccer team for two years. I never thought I’d be able to say that about myself. The last sports team I was on was the basketball team in grade 7. I’m now one of those people who loves going to yoga and bending myself into all sorts of weird positions. Walking up the side of a mountain isn’t just good for my body, but good for my mental health. I’ve learned lots of life lessons through becoming active, which was a big surprise to me. Who knew it would translate into so many other parts of my life?
I’ve also had to make changes to my diet. Although I definitely don’t make the best choices all the time (I have a huge sweet tooth), I think it’s what I decide to do 80% of the time that matters. Going through life without any treats isn’t realistic or sustainable. There will always be nights out or special celebrations. I also love to bake, so lots of my creations are featured on the blog.
