Weekly Workouts

Sunday // Rest day.

Monday // This workout included both cardio and strength training. I started out with 30 minutes of steady state cardio on the elliptical. I picked the elliptical again because I’m trying to keep the plantar fasciitis in my right foot from getting worse. I’ll be very glad once it goes away!

I then spent another 20 minutes doing an upper body workout, which included the following:

  • Cable row 40 lbs x 10 reps x 3 sets
  • Cable bicep curls 20 lbs x 8 reps x 3 sets
  • Cable tricep pulldowns 20 lbs x 8 reps x 3 sets
  • Lat pulldown 20 lbs x 12 reps x 3 sets
  • Dumbbell bench press 12.5 lbs x 10 reps x 3 sets

I did everything but the bench press at the cable machine, and whoever worked out at it before me was lifting some big weight – like 100 lbs more than I was doing!

Tuesday // I had a midterm, so I spent my usual workout time getting in a bit of extra studying.

Wednesday // I slept terribly on Tuesday night (stressing about my second midterm), so I slept in for an extra hour to get some much needed sleep.

Thursday // While I was planning on finally getting back to the gym, I just didn’t have time to get myself there. Instead I did this workout¬†from Jessica Smith TV on YouTube.

Friday // I ended up learning some Zumba choreography for my workout. While it seems pretty easy when you watch someone else, dancing is actually a great workout.

Saturday // My plan this morning was to head to the gym before WordCamp started, but my gym doesn’t open until 8 am on Saturdays, so I wouldn’t have had enough time to workouts and then get to WordCamp. So today is another rest day for me.
